Heather and Steve in the League of Women Voters Legislative Forums

On September 6 Heather Edelson and Steve Elkins appeared with their Republican opponents at the legislative forums sponsored by the Edina League of Women Voters. Kudos to the Edina LWV for sponsoring these forums!

Through their thoughtful answers to the many questions posed, both Heather and Steve showed why they should be our next members of the Minnesota House of Representatives.

Here are links that you can use to view videos of the forums.

The Old SD49 Democrats Office

The SD49 Democrats first acquired a permanent office in the Edina Community Center (Room 323) in 2006.  (Actually, at the time we were called the SD41 Democrats.)  We departed for a new and better office at the end of 2016.

The office was a key piece of infrastructure that allowed our group to take Democratic campaigns to a new, higher level.  It is no accident that two years after we acquired the office, a Democrat (Paul Rosenthal) was elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives from our district--the first time a Democrat had been elected to the House from this area in generations!  In 2012 we achieved even greater success and elected Democrats to all three legislative seats in our district.  Without the office we couldn't have done it.

Here are some scenes from the old office.
